The press department of the Pakistan Army said: The movement of terrorists in the areas of Gavardesh, Pitigal, Bargh Metal, and Betash in Nuristan and Kunar provinces of Afghanistan had been identified earlier, and it was shared with the Taliban group in time.
He added: The Taliban group was expected to fulfil their commitments and prevent terrorist acts from Afghanistan against Pakistan.
According to reports, the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility for the attack through its spokesman, Mohammad Khorasani.
In response to a question about the increase in terrorism in Pakistan originating from Afghanistan, Foreign Minister Jilani told Dawn news agency: “This was an isolated incident, and we do not think that they have carried out these attacks with the cooperation of the Afghanistan Taliban.”
