Michael McCall, the chairman of the foreign relations committee of the United States House of Representatives, accused the Joe Biden administration of not taking the warnings of American officials seriously before leaving Afghanistan.
Mr. McCall added that the American Embassy in Kabul had obtained information that if it had been taken seriously, the withdrawal of the United States would not have imposed such heavy costs on the shoulders of the people of Afghanistan and the world.
He accused the US Ministry of Foreign Affairs of being negligent and said that if the actions were precise, calculated, and organised, Afghanistan would not be in the hands of the Taliban today.
