During yesterday’s (Wednesday, July 5) meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Non-Aligned Movement, Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amir Abdulhian, stated that the creation of an inclusive government made up of all ethnic groups is the only way to resolve the Afghan conflict.
In this conference, Mr. Abdulhian emphasised Afghanistan’s domestic issues and claimed that the country has experienced instability and disaster for decades. The creation of an inclusive government made up of all Afghanistani ethnic groups is the solution.
He continued, “The Islamic Republic of Iran will continue to work to help improve the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan in addition to hosting millions of Afghanistani refugees.”
Along with the confiscation of the financial assets of the Afghan people, he also referenced the bank embargo and the freeze of Afghan assets.
This is despite Taliban officials regularly claiming that their government is inclusive of all Afghan tribes.
