VOC News: A number of Hazara asylum seekers protested in front of the office of the Provincial Council of Madan, Indonesia, in the continuation of the protests for the processing of their cases.
Sources sent a video tape to VOC News today (September 12) and said that a number of Hazara refugees protested in front of the provincial council office in Madan, Indonesia, and demanded that their cases be dealt with by the Indonesian government.
Also, sources from the Indonesian city of Pekingbaru said that the Hazara refugees staged similar protests and demanded the Indonesian government and the High Commissioner for Refugees to handle their cases.
According to the report of human rights organizations, there are more than 6,000 Hazara refugees in this country, and so far, 16 of them have committed suicide due to mental and emotional pressure caused by the lack of processing of their cases.
