According to the report of local sources, two Hazaras from the “Joi Naw” region of Uruzgan were beheaded in a horrible way while travelling in one of the Pashtun residential areas.
Sources stated that two Hazaras from the “Joi Naw” area of Uruzgan, named Haji Hassan and Ali Khan, who were father and son, were pulled out of the car on Tuesday, September 19, while passing through the Pashtun residential area of “Tangi Mami,” and then they were brutally beheaded.
This incident took place on Tuesday after the UNAMA delegation left the area, in the “Tangi Mami” area of Zavali, according to sources.
Sources added that Haji Hassan and his son loaded fruit in their car and wanted to go to Ghazni, but the armed people, who were local people, took them down from the car and drove them away.
The sources reported that the UNAMA delegation was sent to the region to investigate the murders and targeted assassinations of the Hazaras, but as soon as the delegation returned to Kabul, the local Pashtuns brutally beheaded the two Hazara travellers.
This is while, not long ago, a Hazara farmer was shot dead by the local Pashtuns in “Joi Naw “.
The Taliban governor had promised the Uruzgan people that he would take measures regarding the targeted killings of Hazaras, but so far, no practical work has been done by this local Taliban official.
Residents of the “Joi Naw” area are Uruzgan Hazaras and Shiites. Since the Taliban came to power, 17 of them have been killed by the local Pashtuns, and more than 200 families have been forcibly displaced.
