Heather Barr, head of the women’s department of the United Nations Human Rights Office for Afghanistan, says that the Taliban continue to deprive women and girls.
Heather Barr tweeted on Thursday, June 8th that it is possible that the Taliban will ban girls from going to school until the sixth grade.
Ms. Heather Barr added that the only difference between the Taliban of the 1990s and the present is that the current Taliban have allowed girls below the sixth grade to go to school.
Meanwhile, in continuation of banning work and education for women and girls, the Taliban has ordered foreign institutions to stop all their activities in the education sector.
