Local sources claim that the nomads have devastated people’s farms and crops in an unusual way.
Ramazan, a resident of Daikundi, told VOC News that the Kuchi people are present in Daikundi this year and have severely damaged local people’s farms and crops with their livestock.
According to him, the locals in Daikundi face insults and humiliation when they approach the local Taliban authority.
He also stated that the local people had been informed by the Kuchi people that they would soon be evicted from their homes.
He continued by saying that the Kuchi people just lost one of their sheep and obtained payment for two sheep from the local people.
Besides, a person who recently visited Hazaristan claims that the grasslands are full of herds of nomads, which can be seen in every mountain and valley.
Additionally, he claimed that Kuchi people not only graze their flocks in the grasslands of Hazaristan, but they also take people’s lambs forcibly for a negligible price.
The local official could not be reached despite several calls to the provincial police headquarters made by VOC News.
