The Taliban forces detained a teacher and military personnel on Saturday, June 17, in Panjshir. The reason for their detention has not been clarified yet.
The detained individuals are named Saddam Hussain and Sanaurahman. Mr. Saddam Hussain was a teacher in Saadat school in Abdare district, and Sanaurahman was a former military officer from Anaba district of Panjshir.
Based on the local sources, none of the two were involved in or connected with political organisations and were just living their lives. Mr. Sanaurahman was busy farming, and Mr. Saddam Hussain was busy doing duties as a school teacher.
According to the sources, both of them have been transferred to the 40th intelligence headquarters of the Taliban in Kabul, and it is not known how the Taliban treated them or what their status is.
Ever since the Taliban came to power, they have focused on Panjshir mostly, and so far, they have detained, tortured, and shot dozens of civilians and military personnel.
