In two days, the United Nations Human Rights Council will gather in Geneva to discuss the Taliban’s crimes against humanity.
This meeting will take place on Monday, June 19, and Richard Bennett, the United Nations and Human Rights Organisation’s special rapporteur for human rights, will present their findings on the deprivation of Afghanistani women and girls.
Mr. Richard Bennett, Parwanah Ibrahim Khel, Nagin Yari, and other Afghanistani women’s rights activists will speak at this event.
According to Richard Bennett’s article published yesterday, the Taliban has issued 50 restriction decrees against Afghanistani women and girls.
Amnesty International has also said that it will discuss the situation and condition of Afghanistani women in the Human Rights Council in a side meeting on June 20 in Geneva.
This organisation stated that it will devote the final part of its report to the Taliban’s war crimes and crimes against humanity based on the most recent findings.
