The Taliban have publicly whipped a man in Matakhan, a city in Paktika province.
The Taliban High Court issued a newsletter today (Thursday, June 22) claiming that a man was flogged on the charge of illicit relationship.
It is stated in this newsletter that this man was sentenced to two months and twenty days of imprisonment and 25 lashes. Today, he was whipped in public.
In recent months, the Supreme Court of the Taliban announced that 175 people were sentenced to death and 37 were stoned to death.
