Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban’s spokesman, in response to the remarks of Michael McCaul today (Monday, July 10), in a series of tweets, said that the claims of some Americans about selling equipment left behind by the US are not true.
He strongly condemned and denied the allegations about selling the weapons to Iran and the Palestinians against Israel.
He further added that all weapons, equipment, and vehicles are kept in the country’s warehouses and reserves, and no one is allowed to smuggle or sell even a single weapon.
These remarks are propaganda, and these statements are made by tension-seekers and selfish people who cannot tolerate the ongoing stability in Afghanistan and are blindly promoting it, he added.
These statements came as US House of Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul claimed that the Taliban group sells military equipment left behind by the United States to Washington’s adversaries, such as Iran and the Palestinians.
