Michael McCaul, the House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman, has claimed that the Taliban sell the left-over weapons to Washington’s adversaries like Iran and the Palestinians.
Mr. McCaul, talking to the CCN yesterday (Monday, July 9), strongly criticised Joe Biden’s remarks regarding Al Qaeda in Afghanistan.
“We shouldn’t have abandoned Bagram, where we have left behind over $7 billion of taxpayer-funded weapons,” the House Republican Representative added. “The President of the United States would have to be so disillusioned about what is happening on the ground in Afghanistan.”
He also stated that the Taliban sell the weapons to Iran and the Palestinians, which they use against Israel.
A while back, Mike Pompeo also strongly criticised Joe Biden in reaction to the White House report on withdrawal from Afghanistan.
