According to Bakhtar news agency, the residents of Baghlan province, especially the women, welcomed the orders of the Taliban to ban the operation of women’s beauty salons.
According to the report of this news agency, a resident of Pul-e-Khomri city said that the work and activity of beauty salons are illegal from the Sharia point of view due to the lack of hijab and the use of cosmetics that prevent water from reaching the skin.
Maulawi Khalil al-Rahman Rashid, who is the head of Vice and Virtue of the Taliban group in Baghlan, has also considered the activity of beauty salons to be against Sharia and the society’s economy.
According to the new order of the Taliban, all beauty salons must stop their activities within one month.
On the other hand, the closure of beauty salons will make 60,000 working women unemployed, a significant number of whom are the sole breadwinners of their families.
