In reaction to the latest comments made by Asif Durrani, Pakistan’s special representative for Afghanistan, Bilal Karimi, deputy spokesperson for the Taliban, claimed that their administration does not let anybody trespass on Afghanistan’s land.
Karimi added that the government of this group will not remain silent in the face of aggression.
Karimi added that Afghanistan is a free and independent country, and from now on, if even a mosquito trespasses in Afghanistan’s space, it will be condemned, and this group will not remain silent about it.
In an interview with Pakistan’s “Pashto One” TV, Asif Durrani, Pakistan’s special envoy for Afghanistan, said that the United States is utilising Pakistan’s airspace to combat terrorism in Afghanistan by enforcing UN Security Council resolutions.
He cited United Nations Security Council resolutions 1368 and 1373, stating that they must be carried out by all UN members.
“All the nations of the world are committed to implementing the United Nations Security Council resolutions,” Durrani continued. “Whether you like it or not, terrorists must be held accountable wherever they are.”
In reference to the assassination of Ayman al-Zawahiri, he stated that the US struck Ayman al-Zawahiri, the former leader of the al-Qaeda network, in Shirpur, Kabul, and Osama bin Laden, the network’s founder, in Pakistan, based on the same UN Security Council resolutions.
