A group of disabled people in Balkh protested against the Taliban’s recent decision to suspend the activities of the Sweden Committee and demanded the continuation of this committee’s activities.
These people demonstrated in Balkh province on Saturday (July 15) and said that the Taliban should reconsider their decision and let this committee continue its activities.
The protestors stated that the activities of this committee have been effective in the areas of education, health, and job creation for the needy, especially for the disabled, and that the activities of this committee should not be stopped because of the crime of one person.
This was while the Taliban had previously stopped the activities of all Swedish institutions.
