The Association of Afghanistan Prosecutors has written to several international organisations that the lives of 1,500 prosecutors in Afghanistan are under “serious threat”.
The Afghanistan Prosecutors Association has said in its announcement that the situation of the prosecutors in Afghanistan is not good and the world should not remain silent about it.
The Association of Afghanistan Prosecutors in America demanded the transfer of these prosecutors and their family members out of Afghanistan and said that the collective conscience of the world today demands that it be done as soon as possible and move them to a safe area.
According to this announcement, the Taliban have arrested, tortured, and killed 26 prosecutors so far.
This association has emphasised to the US government that some of these prosecutors are living in secret. Therefore, the American government should prioritise them and take them out of Afghanistan.
