NASA announced through a video that the Falcon 9 spacecraft, under the command of Yasmin Moghbeli, has successfully docked at the International Space Station.
NASA stated that the mission of this spacecraft is led by Yasmin Moghbeli, an astronaut of Iranian descent.
According to NASA’s announcement, this mission is expected to last for six months.
Reports indicate that the space industry company SpaceX, led by Elon Musk, is the contractor for this mission, which is carried out using the Dragon spacecraft and the Falcon 9 launch vehicle under NASA’s supervision.
Yasmin Moghbeli, originally of Iranian descent, was born in Germany and is a U.S. citizen. At 39 years old, she has accumulated more than two thousand flight hours in 25 different aircraft types and 150 combat missions.
It is said that Yasmin Moghbeli joined the astronaut corps in 2017, having been selected from thousands of applicants.
