According to reports from local sources, the Taliban arrested a member of the Spontaneous Movement of Protesting Women in Afghanistan.
The Taliban arrested Neda Parwani and her son and husband from her house on Tuesday, September 19, sources said.
Julia Parsi, the leader of the Spontaneous Movement of Protesting Women in Afghanistan, confirmed this news and told VOC News that the Taliban first arrested Neda’s husband in the morning, then took her and her little boy away.
Since the Taliban returned to power in Afghanistan, lots of women protesters have been detained. International organisations reported that the Taliban violated Afghanistan women’s rights by issuing numerous decrees.
