Sources say that the intelligence of the Taliban arrested a civil activist who had a military background, (Monday, May 15, 2023) at the Kabul airport and he was transferred to an unknown place.
The arrested person’s name is Mujib Zia, and he was also a media consultant for Rahmani Charitable Foundation.
According to the sources, Mr. Zia went to Iran after the fall of the previous government, but he returned to Kabul a few weeks ago due to the death of his father.
Sources added that Mr. Zia, besides of being a civil activist, has also been working as an officer of the Ministry of Interior since 2014. It is not known why the Taliban arrested him, but what is obvious is that the number of arrests have been increased recently.
