Mullah Hebatullah Akhundzadeh, the leader of the Taliban, in a new decree, dismissed Mullah Hasan Akhund, the prime minister of the Taliban, from his position and appointed Maulvi Abdul Kabir in his place. The reason for this conversion is said to be the illness and the age of Mullah Hassan Akhund.
Mr. Maulvi Abdul Kabir, who was appointed instead of Mullah Hasan Akhund, is from Paktia province and belongs to Zadran tribe. Previously, he was the second deputy of the Council of Ministers and the governor of Nangarhar during the first round of the Taliban.
In addition, he has acted as a member of the negotiating team of the Taliban in Doha, Qatar, during the second term of the Taliban.
