After UNICEF announced that they would stay in Afghanistan and adapt to the conditions of the Taliban, some Afghanistani women started protesting against this decision.
Today (Friday, May 26, 2023), by sending a video to VOC News, the protesting women chanted the slogan (supporting the Taliban, violating women’s rights) and expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of attention of international institutions to the current situation of women in Afghanistan.
They added: We are tired of human rights, and we shout our demands as a protest, and the people of Afghanistan never recognise the Taliban terrorist group.
These protesting women claim that during these two years, international institutions have had secret interactions with the Taliban in order to help the people of Afghanistan. But after Amina J. Mohammed’s trip to Kandahar, these interactions took place openly.
Women protestors claim that the United Nations and human rights institutions, by not considering the clear violation of human rights by the Taliban, surrendered to their demands and provided a situation for their recognition.
