Local sources in Ghazni say that the World Food Programme has stopped its activities in this province.
Today, Friday, May 26, a number of local employees of organisations cooperating with the World Food Programme in Ghazni, reported and confirmed that the World Food Programme has suspended its activities in Ghazni province.
According to this report, all humanitarian activities related to this organisation in this province have been suspended for three weeks.
They stated that the reason for this decision of the World Food Programme is due to direct intervention of the Taliban in their work.
The U.S Department of State also announced yesterday that humanitarian activities in Ghor, Ghazni, and Oruzgan provinces, have been suspended and the reason is that the Taliban are directly interfering with their activities.
