The Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction or SIGAR has presented a report during two investigations on the economic vulnerability of the Afghanistan people, which shows that the statistics of hunger in this country are on the rise in a terrible way.
This report indicates that about two-thirds of the Afghanistan population (28.3 million Afghanistan people) need emergency aid since the Taliban regime came to power. While this figure reached 9.4 million people until 2020 before the fall of the republican government.
International organizations and partner institutions in Afghanistan have called the economic situation of this country worrying, especially after women have been restricted and banned from working and education.
