Mawlavi Nisar Ahmad Ahmadi, the Taliban’s deputy governor in Badakhshan, was assassinated in a car bombing in the city of Faizabad, according to the Taliban.
In a newsletter, Muezuddin Ahmadi, the Taliban’s spokesman in Badakhshan, reported that the blast left two individuals dead and six others injured.
Local sources claim that this explosion happened on June 6th, at or about 8:15 a.m., in the city of Faizabad, Badakhshan.
According to sources, Mawlavi Nisar Ahmad, the deputy governor of the Taliban in Badakhshan, was the target of the explosion that took place in front of the provincial court gate in that region.
