According to Sergei Lavrov, the foreign minister of Russia, the US actively helps terrorist organisations like ISIS and Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan.
Sergey Lavrov reportedly made these remarks on Monday, June 15th, while visiting a Russian military installation in Tajikistan, according to the Tass news agency.
The statements of the US ambassador to Tajikistan, who said a few days ago that the US does not back the Taliban opposition groups in Afghanistan, drew a response from the Russian foreign minister.
All of the parties involved in Afghanistan were urged to engage in negotiations by Mr. Lavrov. In this regard, he declared, “Expressing these things in diplomatic language is a dishonest statement. It is widely known that the US actively supports Al-Qaeda, ISIS, and other terrorist organisations in Afghanistan with the intention of preventing Afghanistan from achieving peace.
The lack of backing for the Taliban’s armed opposition organisations has been brought up numerous times by American authorities in their speeches. These claims were made as the Pakistani Interior Minister said in an interview with Voice of America that Taliban representatives had suggested to Pakistan that they relocate TTP militants to inaccessible regions of Afghanistan.
