According to a tweet from the Taliban’s Ministry of Interior, Abdul Matin Qane was appointed as the group’s spokesperson today, Sunday, June 11.
The ministry also stated that Abdul Matin Qane officially took over for Abdul Nafi Takor as the ministry’s spokesperson.
Previously, Mr. Qane served as the ministry of information and culture’s spokesperson and counsellor on media policy.
