Afghanistani journalists residing in Iran who sought refuge there when the Taliban were taking over Afghanistan and feared this group have sent a letter to the European Parliament demanding to be resettled on this continent.
These journalists wrote a letter to the EU parliament on June 13 and stated that the stress, uncertainty, starvation, and waiting to be resettled had brought them to their knees.
Based on this letter, these journalists in Iran are dealing with uncertainty, financial and security problems, unemployment, and tonnes of other issues.
Also, in another part of the letter, they have added that due to the close ties and relationship of the Taliban with Iran and their influence on this country, it is possible that they may be arrested and forcefully deported back to Afghanistan.
