According to Manila officials, today (Sunday, June 18), a Philippine ship carrying 120 passengers caught fire in the Philippine Sea.
There is still no information about the casualties or the damage.
The Philippines’ coast guard said that today, the Esperanza Star ship, when leaving the bay at dawn from Siquijor to Bohol province in the central Philippines, caught fire and burned away.
The reports indicate that a coast guard ship was sent to stop the fire, and efforts are still ongoing to recover its passengers.
