Hana Rabbani Kahar, Deputy Foreign Minister of Pakistan, said yesterday (Wednesday, June 21) during a visit to the Torkham border that Pakistani officials should treat the Afghanistani people better and provide them with a more peaceful and comfortable life.
The talks took place after the Afghanistani people were repeatedly hassled by Pakistani authorities at the Torkham border and were having a difficult time travelling.
Also, some Afghanistani immigrants have been arrested by the Pakistani police and taken to court despite having residence cards, passports, Pakistani visas, and UN High Commissioner cards.
In the latest case, Arzoo Ahmadi, a Hazara athlete, was arrested by the Pakistani police after his Jiu-Jitsu championship.
