Several members of the Purple Saturdays Movement in Takhar published a protest notice today (Thursday, June 22) and said: “The Taliban group, with their rule over Afghanistan, has closed the doors of schools, universities, compulsory hijab, forced marriages, public executions, extra-legal killings, poverty, and unemployment. Now, by relocating the terrorist group Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, they are trying to change the ethnic composition and transform the north of the country into a safe base for terrorists.
The members of this movement have added in this announcement that the women of Afghanistan proved in the last two years with their struggles against the Taliban that they are the voice of truth, justice, and freedom against the oppression and tyranny of the Taliban.
The members of this movement in Takhar have warned: We will not allow northern Afghanistan, especially Takhar, to be a safe place for terrorist groups. They added that it should not be forgotten that the establishment of terrorist groups in the north of the country will lead to insecurity in Central Asia and other parts of the world.
At the end of this declaration, the members of this movement asked the countries of Central Asia and the People’s Republic of China not to allow the Taliban to make the north of Afghanistan unsafe and to use it against them.
