The Taliban have arrested and imprisoned 17 Hazara people in Sarcheshmah due to the disappearance of herds of Kuchis (nomads). Based on people’s reports, the nomads have claimed that one of their herds has been missing in the area of Sarcheshmah in Siah Khak Jalriz.
Sources added that nomads claimed 420 of their sheep had been missing in the same area in 2018.
The sources expressed that the Taliban demanded four million and 200 thousand Afghanis from 17 Hazara prisoners and confirmed that they would be released if they paid this amount of money.
But the local people stated that the herd of nomads did not disappear in that area. They said the claims of the nomads were false and unrealistic. They continued to say that the Taliban had always supported the nomads during the last two years.
This is the umpteenth conflict to occur between the residents and nomads since the Taliban took power, and all decisions are always announced in favour of the nomads by the Taliban.
