According to reliable sources, four people from Pashte Ghorghori village in Punjab city who were arrested on Saturday, June 17, by the order of Maulvi Abdullah Sarhadhi, the governor of Bamyan province, due to a legal dispute with the nomads, fled the area after being released.
The sources added that they were released on bail after three days and nights with the mediation of local elders, and then they fled due to the fear of re-arrest and torture and were not willing to pursue their case.
The information obtained from reliable sources shows that the Taliban governor in Bamyan has illegally settled legal disputes between villagers and nomads in this province without going through the procedures of the courts by putting pressure on the Dispute Resolution Commission, which has been established by this group. The Commission decides the legal disputes unilaterally and in favour of the nomads.
Lately, there have been reports of harassment and taking over the lands of the villagers by the nomads with the support of the Taliban group from different parts of Afghanistan.
