Zabihullah Mujahid, in a special conversation with Amo TV to answer the question of the host of the programme, said that most of the people in Afghanistan are Pashtuns.
Mr. Mujahid, the spokesman of the Taliban, in this conversation, which was broadcast on Amo TV in the evening of Friday, June 23, in response to the host of the programme, regarding the fact that there are Pashtuns in all the offices of Afghanistan and there are no representatives from other ethnic groups, said: “The majority of the people of Afghanistan are Pashtuns, and we act according to Islamic Sharia and not according to ethnicity.”
These statements were made while the team of United Nations Security Council analysts said in its report that the policy of the Taliban is Pashtun-centric. Also, Mrs. Reza Otunbayeva expressed in the meeting of the UN Security Council on Thursday, June 22, that the government of the Taliban is Pashtunism and masculine.
