The International Olympic Committee said that they are going to consider more protective measures for Afghanistani athletes. According to this committee, Afghanistani athletes are currently not in good circumstances, and a series of practical measures should be considered for the safety of the country’s athletes.
The committee added that since 2022, the IOC has tried to monitor the sports situation in Afghanistan and provide a context for safe and secure sports activities for Afghanistani women and girls.
This committee added that it has been discussed with the Taliban Olympic Committee and the Taliban’s physical training department for the greater protection of women and girls athletes.
The International Olympic Committee has said that Afghanistani girls and women are severely limited in terms of gender and femininity, and the Taliban have not yet abandoned their Sharia and Islamic positions.
This committee said that, however, the International Olympic Committee is trying to solve this gender crisis and is trying with all its might to remove obstacles and provide a platform for female athletes to enter international competitions, including the 2024 France competition.
