The head of Afghanistan’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations, Naseer Ahmad Faiq, stated on his Twitter page today (Monday, June 26) that inciting ethnic and linguistic prejudices is the work of foreigners.
He claimed that throughout the previous two decades, certain ill people have indulged in such foolish activity, causing Afghanistan to descend into an abyss of collapse, slaughter, poverty, backwardness, and tragedy.
He went on to say that the Taliban uses the ethnic card to strengthen their power base and restrict its opponents.
He said that fueling ethnic and linguistic prejudices is the work of foreigners, and the benefit goes into the pockets of foreigners and enemies of Afghanistan.
These discussions were taking place this week as Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban’s spokesman, and Kamal Nasser Usoli, a former member of parliament, stated that Pashtuns are the majority in Afghanistan and the other ethnic groups are in the minority.
