Switzerland has provided 1.7 million dollars to Afghanistan, according to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Aid in Afghanistan (OCHA).
According to the OCHA report, Switzerland has contributed 18 million Francs to Afghanistan since 2016.
OCHA reported that Afghanistan is currently experiencing the worst possible circumstances after the Taliban’s rise to power, with more than two-thirds of the population living in extreme poverty.
OCHA urged the donor nations to use all of their resources to fight poverty, take care of immediate needs, and support the Afghan people.
