According to local sources, a Corolla-type car ran over a 7-year-old child in the village of Shahidan in the middle of Bamyan province, killing the child.
This incident occurred today (Thursday, July 6) about 12:30 p.m. in Shahidan village, in the centre of Bamyan, according to sources.
According to Taliban local officials, the driver has been detained and is under the supervision of the traffic management of the Bamyan Province Police Headquarters.
The Taliban’s local officials blamed the event on the car’s driver’s excessive speed and negligence.
Meanwhile, yesterday, two separate road accidents in the province of Bamyan resulted in the deaths and injuries of 12, respectively.
