A 21-year-old young man riding on a scooter started shooting at people and pedestrians in New York City, leaving one dead and three Injured, the New York Police Department said.
The New York Police Chief, Joseph Gainey, said that the officers managed to arrest the shooter.
The motivation behind this assault is not yet known.
Gun violence in most US states is a major crime.
