Ms. Shakardokht Jafari, inventor and medical physicist, announced the publication of her book on June 2, 2023.
She introduced her book in a video and said that it had not yet been made available to the public. Introducing her book was met with welcome and criticism.
She was criticised for mentioning the word ‘Afghan’ in the title of her book. Her book was published under the title “Shakar, an Afghan Woman’s Journey.”
For this reason, her audience, especially the Hazaras, criticised her for mentioning the word Afghan, which refers to a specific tribe in Afghanistan, and said that Hazaras are not Afghans.
Now that two months have passed since this issue, Ms. Shakardokht Jafari has published a photo of her book in which she removed the word Afghan from the title and wrote the word Afghanistani instead and announced the publication of her new book.
Dr. Shakardokht Jafari is an inventor and medical physicist who won the “Innovate UK Infocus Award” for inventing a cancer treatment device.
