In the first five months of this year, 273,000 children with severe acute malnutrition have been treated in Afghanistan by UNICEF, said this organisation in a tweet.
UNICEF, or the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund, tweeted on Wednesday, July 14, showing a picture of a frail child and saying, “This little one is on the mend, recovering from severe acute malnutrition and diarrhoea in a UNICEF-supported hospital!”
UNICEF continues its humanitarian aid in Afghanistan, while many restrictions have been imposed on the activities of the United Nations by the Taliban in recent months.
