According to the Voice of America news agency, Pakistan Army Commander Asim Munir met and discussed with Iran’s Chief of General Staff Mohammad Hossain Baqiri during an important trip to Tehran.
It is said that during this meeting, important and mutually agreed-upon issues were discussed, including the expansion of diplomatic relations between the two sides.
According to the Voice of America report, before this, relations between these two countries were tense, and Iran was often exposed to attacks by Pakistani militants.
In a joint statement that has been issued, both sides agreed that terrorism is a common threat to the region, so necessary measures from both sides are required to curb terrorism.
