Wasif Bakhtari, the Afghanistani renowned Farsi poet, author and researcher has passed away in Los Angeles, California in the US at the age of eighty.
Manizha Bakhtari, Mr. Bakhtari’s daughter on Wednesday, July 20, announced this news on her Facebook account.
She has addressed Mr. Bakhtari as “our master, our wise, our life, our world”, and added, “On his last days, we’d sing him leleby and poems and we’d caressing his frail hands.”
“His life was so great and his memory is so glorious that his death will remain indebted to him until now and forever,” She added.
Wasif Bakhtri has 20 works in the fields of poetry, translation and research.
