The European Union Office in Afghanistan has announced that it has donated 7.6 million euros to aid Afghanistan.
In a statement published by this institution on Wednesday, July 20, it is stated that this money will be used to fight food insecurity in Afghanistan.
The announcement further added that the aid money will be implemented through an agricultural project.
According to the announcement of the EU office in Afghanistan, this project is implemented through an organization called “Afghanistan Aid” in the provinces of Badakhshan, Daikundi, Ghor, Jawzjan, Samangan and Takhar.
This announcement emphasized that 17.2 million people in Afghanistan are suffering from acute insecurity.
After the Taliban swept back to power, Afghanistan faced an economic crisis and currently 28.8 million people in the country need humanitarian aid.
