According to reports from local sources in Takhar, Maulvi Nasrullah Hazifah, the Taliban security commander in Takhar, sexually assaulted a young girl.
A reliable source, in a conversation with VOC News on July 26, said that Maulvi Nasrallah Hazifah raped this girl when she was under his supervision.
Twenty days ago, when this young girl was arrested in Dasht-Qala Takhar on the charge of illicit relationship, she was transferred to the commander’s office to be monitored. After that, Maulvi Nasrullah Hazifah, the Taliban security commander, took her out of the detention centre to a private guest house and then sexually assaulted her.
According to the sources, after this incident, the girl and her family complained to Maulvi Zia al-Rahman Madani, the governor of Takhar, and then the governor of Takhar informed the Taliban officials in Kabul.
According to the sources, after the complaint of the victim’s family, the Taliban authorities called Maulvi Hazifah to Kabul.
It is said that the intelligence department of the Taliban called the victim to Kabul along with her family.
Rape by Taliban fighters is not a new thing. Since this group came to power, there have been many reports of sexual assault on women, girls, and children. But so far, none of these cases have been investigated by the Taliban.
