According to Iranian media reports, four Afghanistani citizens died from gassing inside the well today (August 6).
According to Hadi Eidipour, head of the Shiraz fire department, this incident happened at 9:15 today in the Gachi area of this province.
He said, “Immediately, operational teams were sent to the scene and observed that five people were trapped in the septic tank, producing toxic gases in the waste collection workshop.”
Based on his statement, out of these five people, only one survived and the other four died, all of whom are citizens of Afghanistan.
According to Eidipour, they were a 64-year-old father and his three children, who were 34, 27, and 25 years old, who went into the well to save each other.
According to the statistics of the Forensic Medicine Organisation, more than five workers in Iran die at work every day.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday (August 2), an Afghanistani citizen died due to an electric shock in Tehran.
