Pakistani media quoted Imran Khan’s spokesperson as saying that Imran Khan’s lawyers cannot contact him in prison.
A spokesperson for Khan’s legal affairs added that they were not able to give him food or arrange for him to sign legal documents.
Imran Khan, the former prime minister of the government of Pakistan, was sentenced to three years in prison yesterday (August 5) based on the court’s verdict.
Khan is accused of selling government gifts or keeping them in his personal possession.
According to reports, the situation in Pakistan has been described as fragile after Khan’s arrest. Parliamentary elections were supposed to be held in this country, but now the government of Pakistan has announced that the elections have been postponed.
