The Embassy of Iran in Kabul published an article on X social network on Monday, August 28, announcing the meeting of the parliament members of this country with the Deputy Minister of Interior of the Taliban.
The chargé d’affaires of the Iranian embassy in Afghanistan has said that in the conversation with the delegation of representatives of the Islamic Council, the Taliban officials, including the deputy minister of interior affairs of this group, have requested good relations between Afghanistan and the neighbouring countries.
Following the statements of the Iranian embassy, Maulvi Noorjalal said that the Taliban group does not want any kind of tension and enmity in relations with its neighbours, especially the Iranian government.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior of the Taliban added that the policy of this group is to have good relations with its neighbours, especially with the government of Iran.
During the last month and during the Haqaba negotiations, the Taliban has adopted a soft policy towards Iran and a close relationship with this country.
After the fall of the republican government on August 15, 2021, Iran was the first country to resume its activities in Afghanistan very soon, and all the cultural centres of this country were reactivated.
