The World Health Organisation declared the commencement of the polio campaign in various Afghanistan provinces in a newsletter published on Monday, August 28.
According to this announcement, the polio campaign started on Monday in Balkh, Jawzjan, Sarpol, Faryab, Samangan, and Uruzgan.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, August 27, the World Health Organisation stated in its 36th report that 23 cases of polio have been registered in Afghanistan, practically all of which were documented in the country’s eastern area.
