Younes Rashed, the Deputy Minister of Information and Culture for the Taliban, stated during a speech at Paktia University on Tuesday, August 29, that the Islamic and Sharia conditions for the education of girls and women in Afghanistan have not yet been met.
He expressed that the Taliban group has reasons for their actions but do not find it necessary to disclose them to the public and media.
He has claimed that he can privately share these reasons, but they cannot be openly discussed in the public.
Mr. Rashed added that the ban on education is temporary and will be resolved soon.
Previously, Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Taliban, had mentioned that some people have concerns with the reopening of girls’ schools in Afghanistan and do not want to study.
