Takashi Okada, Japan’s ambassador to Kabul, has stated that the country will complete its ongoing projects in Afghanistan.
The Taliban’s Ministry of Agriculture announced on Thursday, August 30, Okada’s meeting with Ataullah Omar, the acting minister of agriculture and livestock of the Taliban.
In the statement, it is mentioned that the Japanese ambassador emphasised the cooperation between the Taliban and Japan, stating: “Japan will complete its ongoing projects in Afghanistan as part of its continued collaboration with the country.”
Japan is involved in construction and development projects in Afghanistan, and even after the Taliban’s rise to power, the Japanese embassy remains active in the country.
